Advantage Waldorf Concrete

About our Waldorf concrete contractor company

We build driveways, patios, slabs and foundations in Waldorf and nearby cities, and every job starts with the ground and the water under it, not the pour.

Solid ground, clear estimates

We set out to give homeowners, property managers and small business owners concrete they won't have to think about again. That means digging out and packing the base, planning where the water goes and writing an estimate that shows exactly what you're paying for.

What we hold to

We explain each step before we take it, so you know what we'll do, what to expect from concrete and why we do it that way.

  • Base dug out and packed, not raked flat
  • Drainage planned before we set forms
  • Estimates with every line spelled out
  • Owner on site before every pour
  • Fully licensed and insured on every job

Our concrete work

  • Concrete driveway building

New driveways and full replacements, dug out to firm ground and sloped so rain runs away from the house.

  • Concrete patio construction

Backyard patios on a packed base, with control joints cut so any cracking follows lines we chose.

  • Stamped concrete services

Concrete pressed with a pattern and colored while it's still soft, for the look of stone, brick or slate.

  • Concrete sidewalk building

Walkways and front paths torn out and poured again, level and pitched so water doesn't sit on them.

  • Garage floor concrete

A new or replacement garage slab, thick enough for the cars and gear that will sit on it.

  • Decorative concrete

Colored, stained or exposed-aggregate finishes for patios, walks and entries where the look matters as much as the strength.

  • Concrete retaining walls

Poured walls that hold back a slope, with footings and drainage behind them so trapped water doesn't push on them.

  • Concrete floor installation

Interior concrete floors for basements, shops and workspaces, poured flat and finished smooth or ready for a covering.

  • Concrete pool decks

The deck around your pool, finished with texture for bare feet and sloped so splash water drains off.

  • Concrete steps construction

Front and back steps formed with even risers, on footings that keep them from sinking away from the house.

  • Slab foundation building

Slab foundations for additions, garages and sheds, poured on ground we've dug out and packed firm.

  • Foundation installation

Foundation walls and footings for new homes and additions, formed and checked before a single wall goes up.

  • Concrete parking lot building

Parking areas for small businesses and rental properties, built thicker where trucks turn and pitched to carry rain to drains.

  • Concrete footings

Footings for decks, porches and walls, dug down to firm soil that can carry the weight.

  • Foundation raising

Sunken slabs and settled foundations lifted back toward level, once we know what soil or water problem dropped them.

  • Concrete cutting

Clean saw cuts through slabs and walls for doorways, plumbing runs, repairs or new control joints.

From fixing to building

I spent years doing upkeep for a property management company, patching cracked walks, sunken steps and tired driveways at the buildings we looked after. Most of that trouble didn't start in the concrete. It started in the ground and water underneath, a base raked flat instead of dug out and packed, or a slab sending rain toward the building.

I started Advantage Waldorf Concrete in Waldorf in 2013 to do it the other way. I still come out to every job, write the estimate myself and check the base and forms before our crew pours, so the person you talked to is the one making sure it's right.

How a job runs

We tell you what we found, what we'll do and why before any work starts, then keep you posted from the first visit to the final walk-through.

  1. Visit

We reply to every call and message within one business day and set a time to come out. I look at the job myself, check the ground and where the water runs, and ask how you'll use the slab.

  2. Estimate

Your estimate is free, with no obligation, and written out line by line so you can compare it fairly with other bids. Before we set a date, we check with the permit office for your address and handle our part.

  3. Work

Our crew digs out and packs the base and sets the forms, and I'm on site to check both before we pour. When it's done, we walk the work with you and explain how long to stay off it while it cures and gains strength.
