Using this site means you accept these terms
These terms cover your use of the Advantage Waldorf Concrete website and any concrete work you hire us to do. By browsing the site, calling us or sending a request through our form, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
When we sign a written estimate or contract with you for a specific job, that document controls the details of that job. Where it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.
What we do
Advantage Waldorf Concrete is a concrete contractor in Waldorf, MD. We build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls and other flatwork, which is our word for any flat concrete you walk or drive on. You can see the full list of services from our home page.
The descriptions, photos and examples on this site are general information about the kind of work we do. They aren't a promise that your job will look the same or follow the same steps, because every yard, slope and soil is different. Your estimate describes the work for your house.
How estimates and pricing work
We give free quotes on site, with no obligation to hire us. We price the job after we've seen the area, because size, access, slope, drainage, what has to be torn out and the condition of the subgrade, which is the ground the slab sits on, all change the cost.
Any price you see from us is valid only in a written estimate for your job and only for the time that estimate states. Nothing on this website is a price quote.
Sometimes we find something once the old concrete is out that nobody could see on estimate day, like soft fill, roots or buried debris. If that happens, we stop and tell you what we found, what it takes to fix and what it adds to the cost, and we don't go ahead with the extra work until you agree to it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellations
We'll set a start date with you, but concrete depends on the weather, so dates can move. We won't pour into rain, a hard freeze or conditions that would weaken the slab, because a rushed pour costs you more later than a short delay costs now. Supplier or equipment delays can also move a date, and we'll let you know as soon as we do.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (240) 213-7379 as early as you can. Your contract states whether any deposit or costs for materials already ordered or work already done are refundable if you cancel.
What we need from you
We ask you to give our crew clear access to the work area on the scheduled days and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig, such as sprinkler lines, drain pipes, septic parts or private wiring. We aren't responsible for damage to buried lines we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably see.
Unless your contract says we'll handle it, getting any permit or HOA approval the job needs is your responsibility, so please check before we start.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it's ready for weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on it, and damage from using it too early isn't covered by these terms or our guarantee.
Payment
Your written estimate or contract sets out what you owe, when it's due and how you can pay, including any deposit. Payment is due on the dates shown there.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is brought up to date. Where Maryland law allows, we may also take the steps it permits to collect what's owed, including a lien on the property for unpaid work and materials.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We're fully licensed and insured, and we guarantee your satisfaction on every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right. Any written warranty for your job, and how long it lasts, is set out in your contract.
Concrete can get small hairline cracks even when it's built right, because it shrinks as it cures and moves with the ground. We cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, so cracks show up there instead of across the middle. Small cracks like these, slight color differences between pours and normal surface wear aren't defects.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from heavy equipment or loads the slab wasn't built for, deicing salt or chemicals, poor drainage or grading work done by others, tree roots, earth movement, flooding, or repairs and changes made by someone else. Beyond what we promise in your contract and on this page, we don't make other warranties, written or implied, to the extent Maryland law allows us to disclaim them.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a driveway, lost income or other costs that come after a problem, except where the law doesn't allow us to limit them.
This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren't responsible for websites we link to and don't run.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with something, please talk to us first, because most problems are settled faster with a phone call and a visit than with anything formal. You can reach us at (240) 213-7379 or through our contact page, and we reply within 1 business day.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. If it still isn't settled, it will be handled in the state courts that serve Charles County, Maryland, unless the law requires a different place.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes don't affect a contract you've already signed with us unless we both agree in writing.
If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, ask us before you hire us. You can learn more about our crew on our about page, or call (240) 213-7379, Monday through Sunday, 7 AM to 10 PM.
